Why

I started my own blog and I’ve got to confess that, before beginning to unveil Italy, my blogging experience was not so exhaustive. So I wandered around various blogs and discovered a fascinating world: artists, writers, photographers, but also common people who share their ideas, lifestyles, passions and are so good at it, it’s amazing to read their posts.

After jumping from one blog to another, my first reaction was to abandon this crazy idea: I don’t feel particularly talented at writing, my pictures are not masterpieces and my English is an “intermediate level”, but my curious attitude persuaded me to start this new adventure in spite of everything.

After 11 years working for the travel industry I need to make a detour, to go off the beaten tracks.

I’m tired of proposing the same popular destinations, of building scheduled itineraries with the “best/lower rate possible” as the unique goal.

My job gives me the priceless chance to visit Italy from north to south, to discover  hidden places, to get to know brilliant and passionate people and, above all, to understand that travel is not just about “visiting” a place but about feeling it and keeping it within your soul.

I’ve tried to slow down my pace and set my mind at ease and I re-discovered a brand-new, unexpected Italy, rich in authenticity, traditions, breathtaking,  picturesque corners and spicy flavors, where all five senses play an important role and make a unique experience of every single moment.

Who I am

My name is Alessandra and I’m a 100% Italian girl. I’m 33 years old, I’m hyperactive and curious. I was born in the south of Italy and  grew up in the north.

What I like most is getting lost in new places, listening to people’s stories, the feeling of freedom I get by looking at the sea and… ice cream!

I believe that time is one of the most valuable resources nowadays, I believe in the importance of changing our perspective, in curiosity, in traditions and in people who try to preserve them, in the magnificence of a sunset and in the cultural richness of passionate people…

I believe that life is a journey and the trick is to savor every single moment of it.
